Early Signup Special - Ends April 1st

A Summer Camp Experience: The Tender Leaves Way
Get ready for a summer camp experience that only Tender Leaves can deliver. Across 7 weekly themes, children enjoy high-energy outdoor play, hands-on projects, and meaningful adventures designed for a wide age range.

Tender Leaves is Kitsap County’s only DCYF-licensed Outdoor Nature-Based program and an active participant in Early Achievers, Washington’s quality improvement and recognition system for early learning programs. In practical terms, that means your child is in a program with clear health and safety standards, strong supervision practices, and intentional teaching, not just “outdoor childcare.”

When you enroll, you’re choosing more than a fun themed week. You’re choosing a camp where children build real skills through play, confidence, teamwork, self-regulation, problem-solving, communication, and leadership, in an environment designed to support both joy and growth.

Summer Camp Signups

  • Parkour Week

    Week 1 (June 22-25)

    (15 Spots: Ages 2.5 - 10)

Get ready to move! We’ll set up fun obstacle courses and “ninja” challenges to build balance, agility, and gross motor skills in a safe, supportive way. Your child will run, jump, climb, and gain confidence in their physical abilities.

  • Art Explorers

    Week 2 (June 29-July 2)

    (15 Spots: Ages 2.5 - 10)

A creative week of arts and crafts. Campers will experiment with drawing, painting, and making nature-inspired art. This week boosts creativity, fine motor skills, and self-expression as children create their own masterpieces.

  • Pirate Adventure

    Week 3 (July 6-9)

    (15 Spots: Ages 2.5 - 10)

Ahoy! Our little pirates will go on treasure hunts and imaginative adventures. We’ll dress up, tell pirate tales, and build pirate ships out of loose parts. This week encourages imagination, teamwork, and problem-solving as the kids work together on quests.

  • Beach Week

    Week 4 (July 13-16)

    (15 Spots: Ages 2.5 - 10)

Summer fun by the shore. We’ll explore the beach environment – playing in the sand and (shallow) water, searching for shells and sea creatures, and learning about tides and marine life. This sensory-rich week helps kids appreciate nature and science while staying cool and having a blast.

  • Circus Week

    Week 5 (July 20-23)

    (15 Spots: Ages 2.5 - 10)

Step right up to our outdoor circus! Children will practice circus arts and carnival games – think balancing acts, juggling, ribbon dancing, face painting, and clowning (in a kind, playful way). Through these activities, campers will build coordination, showmanship, and confidence by trying new tricks in a judgment-free atmosphere.

  • Science Explorers

    Week 6 (July 27-30)

    (15 Spots: Ages 2.5 - 10)

A week of hands-on discovery. We’ll become little scientists, doing fun experiments and nature investigations each day. From erupting volcanoes to bug observations, this week sparks curiosity and critical thinking. Your child will ask questions, make predictions, and explore cause-and-effect in the world around them.

  • Field Day Fun

    Week 7 (August 3-6)

    (15 Spots: Ages 2.5 - 10)

We’ll close out the summer with classic outdoor games and a mini “field day” festival! Think relay races, scavenger hunts, water balloon tosses, and team games that get everyone cheering. It’s all about teamwork, good sportsmanship, and celebrating the achievements of the summer. We’ll end the week with a small celebratory closing event for the kids during the last day’s circle time.
